Our two connected barns offer a versatile, character-rich setting for ceremonies, receptions, and gatherings of all kinds. Built in the 1800s and restored with care, they’re full of original timber beams, warm pine floors, and just the right balance of rustic texture and clean simplicity.
The larger barn features a wide-open main hall with industrial lighting, oversized windows with west-facing views, and a natural flow between indoor and outdoor space. It also opens onto a private deck that overlooks the ceremony lawn — perfect for sunset photos or a quiet breather during the party.
The smaller barn opens directly onto a second shared deck and works beautifully as a dance floor, cocktail lounge, bar setup, or staging area. Both barns open to a central courtyard in the front, giving you a flexible hub for welcome drinks, lawn games, or a first look.
The barns are available rain or shine, so you can plan confidently — whatever the forecast. They’re designed to be beautiful as-is, but flexible enough to make your own. Each space has its own rhythm and purpose, and together they create a weekend-long experience that’s beautiful, unfussy, and entirely yours.
Just across the courtyard from the barns, the farmhouse is your private, on-site retreat for the weekend. With four bedrooms, multiple gathering spaces, and a fully equipped kitchen, it’s comfortable and full of charm — from the vintage wood stove and exposed beams to the bright sunroom and clawfoot tub.
It’s ideal for wedding parties to get ready, for friends and family to stay close, and for quieter moments between the big ones. We’ve hosted everything from welcome dinners to morning-after brunches here. However your weekend unfolds, the farmhouse is part of it.
Its layout offers both privacy and connection, making it just as suited for quiet prep time as it is for post-reception winding down with your favorite people.
South Road Farm sits high on King’s Hill, with panoramic views and open skies in every direction. From the main lawn to the meadow paths and wooded ceremony nooks, the land here creates a feeling of peace, openness, and possibility.
There’s space to explore, unwind, and roam — whether that means a walk through the woods, golden hour photos along the stone wall, or late-night stargazing by the firepit. Couples often choose to hold their ceremony overlooking the fields, but the property offers multiple options, all just a short walk from the barns and farmhouse.
We keep the grounds intentionally simple, natural, and welcoming — letting the beauty of the land do the heavy lifting.
