Set on 66 acres at the top of King’s Hill in Fayette, Maine, the farm’s roots run deep — starting in 1793 with a single homestead and continuing through generations of farmers, blacksmiths, cider makers, and caretakers. What began as a working farm is now a gathering place once again, with wide-open fields, rolling hills, and a sunset view that seems to stretch forever.
It’s a space with history in its bones, and new stories unfolding every weekend.
In 2022, Nick asked his brother-in-law Dave — who’s a lifelong carpenter — to build him a wedding arch. It was a small favor between family, but it ended up sparking something big.
That arch now stands behind the barn on the ceremony lawn, and it quietly marks the beginning of South Road Farm as you see it today.
Together (and with a lot of help from family, friends, and neighbors), Nick and Dave spent the next few years transforming the property — restoring the barns, renovating the farmhouse, and shaping the land into a venue rooted in character, craft, and joy.
South Road Farm is a family-run venue built with care — and a little sawdust. We believe in creating a space where people can gather without pretense, celebrate with intention, and make memories that last.
We like beautiful things. But we also like firepits, food trucks, and music under the stars. This place holds both. And we hope it holds something for you, too.
